Mandy Curry is the founder of Healthy Kids, Inc. – a WV-based online healthy meal planning site designed to show families how to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle. Knowing that students consume only half the recommended fruit and vegetable requirements each day and that teachers have limited time to launch classroom initiatives, Mandy created a healthy food curriculum that would help teachers empower students to make healthier food choices. This past Thursday, Mandy and her team WON the “Partnership for a Healthier America” Innovation Challenge” in Washington DC in which teams competed to build a prototype web application to aid in the childhood obesity epidemic.
